Position: Trips Leader

This year was my first year at Camp Cody and I had a blast getting to lead trips all around New Hampshire! It was really cool to be able to lead different trips everyday and I was able to get to know each of the different age groups. My favorite trip was Mt. Chocorua because it was all seniors and a challenging hike. I got to see a different side of most of the seniors as they were on their best behaviors because they needed to work hard! I loved seeing their reactions when they made it to the top, experiencing the stunning 360 view. All of the seniors were in shock by how beautiful it was and appreciated it so much more due to working for the view. It’s that precise moment that the campers realize a greater appreciation for nature, and it has made me love my position so much more.
