Director Philip Ross

Edinburgh, UK

Philip has dedicated over thirty years of his life to making Camp Cody a world-class New Hampshire summer experience. As Director, he oversees most areas of the camp operation, builds friendships with Cody families and fosters a nurturing environment for campers to call home.

His dedication and enthusiasm for providing children with opportunities to learn and grow have helped make Cody the exciting, well-rounded camp it is today.

Director Sheri Ross

Portsmouth, NH

Sheri joined the Cody Family and Leadership Team in 2001, working alongside her husband, Philip, as Camp Director. With a degree in Business Administration, Sheri brings years of working experience to Cody and oversees the camp operations and family communications year-round.

During the summer season, Sheri takes on the role of Camp Mom with the goal of enhancing the camp environment with seasoned parental experience and offering an extra set of eyes and ears in caring for campers.

A graduate of the University of St Andrews in Scotland, Anna has been at Cody since 2001.

As Camp Director, Anna works hard to ensure that our campers and staff have the most positive and enriching summer camp experience possible.

Anna takes pride and pleasure in seeing campers making great camp friends as they develop their own self-confidence, independence, and experience new adventures. Anna is also a key point of contact for parents and always happy to help.

A graduate of the University of St Andrews in Scotland, Anna has been at Cody since 2001.

Director Rachael Ross

Rachael has grown up at Cody and within the summer camp industry. She’s held a variety of positions at Cody, including past camper, CIT, counselor, and Head Counselor. She’s also been the owner of a successful camp counselor recruitment organization.

Holding a degree in early childhood education, Rachael enjoys getting to know our campers and families as they join the Cody family.

As Assistant Director, Rachael also uses her knowledge and experience to mentor and support Cody’s staff as they provide the best camp experience to our campers.

Director Nick Blackburn

Mindford, OH

Nick is attending The Ohio State University for a degree in Early and Middle Childhood Studies. He is from a small town in southern Ohio where he grew up playing soccer, cross country, and basketball. Nick has been working at Camp Cody for four years now starting as a counselor for pioneer boys.

Nick has been working at Camp Cody since 2014, starting as a counselor for pioneer boys. His passion for working with children and dedication to Cody’s mission has led to their current role as Assistant Director. He works closely with our Group Leaders, counselors, and campers with anything they may need throughout their summer at camp.

Nick is attending The Ohio State University for a degree in Early and Middle Childhood Studies. He is from a small town in southern Ohio where he grew up playing soccer, cross country, and basketball. Nick has been working at Camp Cody for four years now starting as a counselor for pioneer boys.

Caitriona has recently graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a degree in Sports Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage, and will be undertaking a Masters in Sports Therapy in the Fall. Originally from Ireland, Caitriona has spent three years in the UK, and is always eager to take on new and exciting opportunities.

This love of adventure is what brought her to Camp Cody last summer. The people, experiences, and memories is what brought her back to Cody this summer. After working as a horse back riding counsellor last summer, Caitriona has returned as a Group Director and is very excited to work with the energetic, creative, fun group of campers.

Betty became a nurse in 2003 and worked at a hospital in Southern Maine for 8 years in a variety of settings. After a working 1 year in home care for a disabled pediatric patient she transitioned into school nursing. Betty has now worked with Pre-K through 5th grade students for almost 7 years.

Betty discovered the opportunity to work at Camp Cody through an email to all Maine school nurses. Betty and her colleagues care for campers mental, emotional and physical needs. Betty states that the diversity of campers backgrounds and the diversity of activities available are her favorite aspects of Camp Cody life.

Head of Swim Pier Kerri McCaffery

Boston, MA

Kerri has been a public school teacher in New Jersey for 22 years. With summers of experience instructing swimming and managing the waterfront in New Jersey, Kerri joined our team in 2016 as the Head of Swim Pier.

A New Jersey High School State Champion swimmer and All-American in college, Kerri loves to bring this experience to swimming lessons at Camp Cody. She has two sons, Connor and Colin, and enjoys writing poetry in her spare time.

Mason Is currently working towards a degree in Human Services in order to pursue a career in the field of adolescent mental health and recovery. Mason enjoys working with this age range because they are at a key stage in their personal development, and are an absolute to blast to spend time with!

At this age the boys are starting to become their own person and develop self reliance in this exciting new environment. Although under close supervision during the day, camp life allows our pioneers to build confidence and independence while away from home!

Sam is from London England and this is his first summer at Camp Cody. He has been working as a Soccer Counselor and has been working with the Junior boys division. Before working at Cody, Sam worked in schools and at holiday camps teaching various sports. He has various sporting qualifications.

Sam enjoys spending time outdoors with the children and other counselors. His favorite part about camp is the paddle boarding, waterfront activities and playing cards with the Junior boys.

Sam is from London England and this is his first summer at Camp Cody. He has been working as a Soccer Counselor and has been working with the Junior boys division. Before working at Cody, Sam worked in schools and at holiday camps teaching various sports. He has various sporting qualifications.

Originally from London, Adam is a mechanical engineering student at the University of Manchester. He is a certified boat driver and level 4 RYA sailing instructor, and loves spending his days on the boat pier.

His favorite activity is water skiing and teaching campers how to get up for the first time. He also loves spending time with all the other counselors, as they make the whole summer great and are always there to brighten peoples days.

Nuria has been at Cody for 8 years, as a camper and now as a biking and kayaking counselor. Her favorite activities include biking, waterskiing, and kayaking and she loves being at Camp with her older brother, Victor.

Being from Spain, Nuria’s favorite part about camp is being able to meet people from all over the world and create lifelong friendships.

Nuria has been at Cody for 8 years, as a camper and now as a biking and kayaking counselor. Her favorite activities include biking, waterskiing, and kayaking and she loves being at Camp with her older brother, Victor.

Being from Spain, Nuria’s favorite part about camp is being able to meet people from all over the world and create lifelong friendships.

Camp Cody is truly a magical place and has become her second home, after attending year after year and growing from a camper into a counselor. When not at camp, Rebecca is pursuing a degree in Business at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.

This is Rebecca’s 11th year at Cody and you can find her spending her time lifeguarding on the waterfront. One of Rebecca’s favorite aspects of Cody is the amazing people, everyone creates lifelong friendships that campers and counselors will cherish forever.

She was excited to come to Cody after hearing about it from a friend who had been a counselor here for a few years. She loves to make slime and take the kids on a nature walk.

She was very excited to work her first year at Cody with her sister who is a returner this year. She teaches volleyball and works in the Pio division. She loves living right on the lake and watching her cabin grow stronger as a team.

Maya is studying early childhood/childhood education and special education at St. Bonaventure University. She is a first aid and CPR certified American Red Cross lifeguard. Maya was born in Bogota, Colombia but grew up in Alfred, a small rural town in western New York.

She was excited to become part of the Cody family this summer after talking with a college friend, who also works at Camp Cody. She has since fallen in love with Lake Ossipee and spends her days lifeguarding the wibit and swim pier.

Danielle is from Atlanta, Georgia and studies Nursing at Georgia Southern University. After she graduates, she hopes to attend Emory to receive her masters as a Nurse Practitioner. She was a camper at Cody in 2012-2013 and returned this year as a Pioneer counselor.

She was excited to return and rekindle old friendships and remember the fun times she had as a kid. She enjoys helping the pioneers get to their activities and joining in on the activities with them.

Nate is from Hampstead, NH and this is his first summer at Cody. He works as a pioneer counselor and spends his time on the waterfront as a kayak instructor. He is CPR certified, wildlife first aid certified, and is a lifeguard.

He is heading into his Junior year as an Environmental Science major at the University of New Hampshire. He enjoys hiking in the White Mountains and playing frisbee in his free time. He is excited to be at Cody and is enjoying the fun energy!

Nate is from Hampstead, NH and this is his first summer at Cody. He works as a pioneer counselor and spends his time on the waterfront as a kayak instructor. He is CPR certified, wildlife first aid certified, and is a lifeguard.

General Counselor Eoghan O'Neill

Eoghan is from Ireland and this is his first summer at Camp Cody. He has been working as a General Counselor for the Pioneer boys division and has been working with kids for the past 5 years at summer camps at home.

He is First Aid and CPR certified and enjoys spending his time outdoors in nature, on the water or at home watching movies. His favourite part of camp this summer has been water-skiing and spending time playing board-games with his Pio boys during cabin time.

Eoghan is from Ireland and this is his first summer at Camp Cody. He has been working as a General Counselor for the Pioneer boys division and has been working with kids for the past 5 years at summer camps at home.

He is First Aid and CPR certified and enjoys spending his time outdoors in nature, on the water or at home watching movies. His favourite part of camp this summer has been water-skiing and spending time playing board-games with his Pio boys during cabin time.

Felipe is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, but currently resides in Orlando, Florida. This is his first summer at Camp Cody and he has been working as a rowing instructor as well as a counselor for the junior boys division. He has his lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certification, along with a commercial boating license.

He enjoys his job because he gets to not only teach rowing, but all activities offered at Boat Beach, such as sailing, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. He is going into his senior year at the University of Florida, majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in Sport Management as well as a minor in Entrepreneurship.

Felipe is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, but currently resides in Orlando, Florida. This is his first summer at Camp Cody and he has been working as a rowing instructor as well as a counselor for the junior boys division. He has his lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certification, along with a commercial boating license.

At night, he works with the senior boys, and really enjoys playing dodgeball or having

campfires with them. Before working at Cody, Jared worked at a Boy Scout camp, and decided to change it up to see what it was like to work at a much larger, international camp. Jared’s going to be starting at Providence College this fall for Marketing with a concentration in Sports Marketing/Sports Management.

Ciara is from Massachusetts and enjoys her days as a lifeguard here at camp. She loves working at swim pier because she gets to be in and around the water all day. She has been a swimmer since she was young and enjoys beach days and pool days. She is also an inter girl counselor and loves working with her girls.

She is going into her senior year of college studying early childhood education at Fitchburg State University in MA. Cody was the perfect opportunity for her because she loves working with children and is also gaining experience. She loves all of the friends she has made at camp and the bonds that have been created.

Ciara is from Massachusetts and enjoys her days as a lifeguard here at camp. She loves working at swim pier because she gets to be in and around the water all day. Erin is from Florida and works as a rowing instructor at Cody. She loves working on the waterfront and taking in the beautiful views of Lake Ossipee and the mountains. She is studying Nursing at Florida State University and is obtaining minors in Childhood Development and Psychology. She hopes become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, so

working as a counselor at Cody was a great way to get experience working with children. In addition to working on the waterfront, Erin is a counselor in the Inter division, which consists of girls between ages 12 and 13. She loves the opportunity to be a role model for the girls and watch them grow over course of the sessions.

Erin is from Florida and works as a rowing instructor at Cody. She loves working on the waterfront and taking in the beautiful views of Lake Ossipee and the mountains. She is studying Nursing at Florida State University and is obtaining minors in Childhood Development and Psychology. She hopes become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, so

working as a counselor at Cody was a great way to get experience working with children. In addition to working on the waterfront, Erin is a counselor in the Inter division, which consists of girls between ages 12 and 13. Michael is from Londonderry, New Hampshire and works as a lifeguard here at camp. This is his sixth summer as a camp counselor and lifeguard, but first year at Camp Cody.

He is studying physical education with a minor in coaching at Keene State College. In addition to being a lifeguard, he works with the Inter 2 boys. His favorite part of camp is swimming in the lake.

James currently resides in Middletown, CT. James has been connected with the camp for 7 years, with 3 of those years as the Riflery Instructor. He has a degree in History with a double minor in Political Science and Law from Colby-Sawyer College.

He is also a Field Artillery Officer in the Massachusetts National Guard. His favorite part of camp is helping to make Camp Cody an extraordinary place for every camper.

Olivia is a 10 year Cody enthusiast with a love for Color War and the Wibit. She is pursuing a degree in Public Relations at the University of Southern California and has a passion for graphic design and event planning. After completing the CIT and JC programs, Olivia has been a member of the Photo and Video Team creating content for Camp

Cody's Social Media. She now works as part of the Program Team planning daily evening programs and special events for each session. Olivia loves being able to bring her creative ideas to life with fun and engaging activities for our campers, her favorites being the Camp Cody Amazing Race and weekly Campfires with songs and S'mores!

Soccer Instructor Josh Gilmour

This is Josh's second year at Cody. Originally from England Josh moved to NYC at the age of 14. Josh teaches soccer and is very passionate for the sport. He has played since he was a kid and enjoys being able to share his passion with all of his campers.

He finds it so rewarding when his campers are able to take home new skills and see their smiles when they master something new. Josh also loves spending time to really connect with the kids in the cabin and playing games with them.
