Since 1926, Camp Cody has taken great care to provide campers with an outstanding, tailored and safe summer experience. Camp is a time when children can relax, make friends and participate in fun activities without having to worry about food allergies or dietary restrictions. As such, our directors, nurses, staff and chefs work with each family to attend to their camper’s individualized dietary needs. Our camp is nut free and also accommodates campers with gluten, wheat, dairy, soy, shellfish, egg and lactose allergies, intolerances or restrictions. Before a camper with dietary restrictions ever arrives onsite, our directors have spoken to their parents and crafted a custom menu. We know firsthand the stress/worry parents experience when planning for the dietary needs of their children and are here to help.
Each summer we have 70-80 campers with dietary restriction in addition to a number of our own staff/directors. Prior to camp, we listen to our parents’ requirements to insure that their camper’s experience is worry free. We also employ a highly talented meal of medical professionals and chefs (our Head Chef is a Cordon Bleu graduate with previous experience at Disney’s prestigious Yacht and Beach Club) to make sure that we provide our campers with a range of dietary options.
