Division: Trips Leader

Camp Cody has become another family to me, and also to the campers. I have seen kids going through so much smile and develop relationships with people they’d never meet outside of camp. I loved being able to see people push themselves and achieve goals they never thought possible like hiking 8 miles to a mountain summit. Hiking is always a difficult activity and it’s never easy physically or mentally. My favorite part about being a trips leader is seeing a camper who doesn’t believe they can finish the hike summit and experience that moment of bliss. I love to see all of the campers take in the spectacular views and for a lot of campers, Cody is the only place they can experience something like that.
