At Camp Cody, creativity is an important part of summer. Our arts programs give campers the chance to explore new interests, express themselves, and discover talents they may not have known they had.
A World of Creative Possibilities
There is something for every kind of creator at Cody. Campers can explore painting, arts and crafts, pottery, jewelry making, metalsmithing, glassworking, fiber arts, and woodworking.
Creativity also extends beyond the art studio. Campers can express themselves through dance, drama, improv, and music, whether they are learning something new or building on a talent they already love.
The focus is not on creating something perfect. It is about trying new things, learning new skills, and having fun with friends.
Inspired by Camp
Creating at Cody is a little different from creating at home. With Lake Ossipee, pine trees, and mountain views surrounding them, campers have plenty of inspiration and, without the distractions of phones and screens, time to focus on what they are making.
Whether it is a piece of pottery, a handmade bracelet, a painting, or a performance, campers get the satisfaction of creating something that is completely their own.
Celebrating Creativity
At the end of each session, campers have opportunities to share their talents with the Cody community.
Our End of Session Art Show showcases projects created throughout the summer, while the Camp Talent Show brings music, dance, comedy, and performances to the stage. Campers can even take part in our 24 Hour Play, working together to create and perform a production in just one day.
These moments give campers the chance to celebrate what they have accomplished and cheer on their friends.
Get Creative at Cody
Some campers arrive already loving the arts. Others discover a completely new passion while they are here. Either way, our creative programs give campers another place to build confidence, try something new, and make memories.
