Last fall, my mom asked me if I wanted to go to summer camp. I was a little anxious at first, but as she showed me the videos I got more interested. When I signed up, someone from Camp Cody came over to our house and told me all about the kinds of things I would be doing and answered all my questions. This made my family feel good because I was going to be flying across the country away from them. Flying to camp was really easy and I got to meet the counselors as soon as I got off the plane! The moment we got to camp, they took me to my cabin and I started making friends. I enjoyed getting to know all the campers and counselors and they made it really hard to leave at the end of the session! I missed my parents, but I didn’t want to leave all of my new friends. My favorite activities were all of the water activities because I don’t get to do those at home. I loved the Wibit, motor boats and paddle boarding and I also loved building sand castles with my cabin at the swim pier. By the end of the session, I felt like I almost had another home here!
