I knew I wanted to go to Camp Cody when my friend (who started the year before me) told me how fun it was. She’s also from New York, so we got to drive up together! I was really scared of being homesick when I came to camp, but it ended up being so much fun that I didn’t get homesick at all. I loved my whole cabin and immediately became best friends with everyone. We became so close and we loved to make friendship bracelets together during cabin time. During my first summer, one night we slept outside and watched a meteor shower. It was amazing sleeping under the stars with my friends and the stars were so cool. I also loved all of the activities at camp and getting to try new activities that I never tried before. My favorites were everything on the water, like motor boats and the Wibit. During the year I get to see all my friends that live in New York and we all get so excited to go back together!
